January Sensory Tub

This month's tub is full of snow.  Well, not real snow- that would melt!  Our snow is made from packing peanuts, cotton balls and pompoms.  Hidden in this frozen world are some Arctic explorers, as well as the animals that call the Arctic region home.  There were also some penguins to represent the Antarctic region but Eva claimed those as soon as they went in.  I added a few ice cream scoops for digging in the snow too.  There is also a little igloo for putting the animals in but Eva swiped that too (she is very particular of late as to what is "hers".)  They may make their way back into the tub as the month progresses but until then , there is still plenty to explore and discover.

  1. A great way to use all of the packing stuff left over from Christmas. I also like the idea of using the ice cream scoop. Thanks!

  3. Oh, thank you for this post! I did styrofoam last year during our winter unit and forgot about it! This is the perfect reminder for me today. :) I like how you added the arctic props!
