We borrowed this adorable book by Amy Krouse Rosenthal from the library and after just one read it was decided we needed a copy of our own (it's been added to Eva's Christmas list). This sweet tale tells the story of a young owl who hates bedtime. But not for the reason most little ones do- this guy wants to go to bed! The illustrations are so cute and the story is one that preschoolers can easily relate to.
After reading Little Hoot, we made some owls of our own. I cut out some owl shapes from scrap book paper and Eva cut out some branches.
We used white glue to glue the branches to a sheet of paper.
And then glue the owls to the branches.
Then Eva told me she needed to write something down and she ran and got a notepad and marker- she is always cracking me up being such a big girl!
We added googly eyes and now we have our own little hoots!
